ABOUT UWEDEP
United Welfare Development Program (NGO) is a non-governmental organization that is based in Kiambu County; its aim is to empower its members towards sustainability both economically and socially. Under the aegis of United Welfare Development Program (NGO) is the social enterprise called United Welfare Development Program greenhouse and entrepreneurship club. This social club works to ensure that members of the group are well informed about the economic opportunities around and that they are empowered to embrace them and invest towards poverty alleviation and sustainability enhancement and employment creation.
The NGO was formed by visionary leaders led by the Founder and Chairman, Mr. Peter Ng’ang’a after they realized that majority youth and women in six Counties across the Country especially the unemployed were living in abject poverty and struggle a lot. They also realized that by forming a Non-Governmental Organization, they would be able to reach out and give support to such youth and women.
